+ The Procedure

Procedure Here at BrytSmile we are fully trained & Insured in Cosmetic Teeth Whitening and all of our products are fully insured and approved by the FDA in America. ALL of our products are manufactured in the USA and we buy NOTHING from the Far East, unlike other companies.

The Futura 2400 cold-light Tooth Whitening machine is the best on the market for Teeth Whitening & has come all the way from the USA! It uses a narrow beam of high-intensity blue light with a wave length of between 480 and 520 nanometres (Much more powerful than other 'cheaper' makes used by other companies) A special optical process removes harmful infrared and ultraviolet light which dramatically reduces sensitivity & is completely pain free!

This combined with the whitening gel, rapidly whitens the entire surface of all 16 front teeth (the teeth you see when you smile), in one short treatment, restoring them to beautiful, naturally white looking teeth.

For optimum results, 3 applications of whitening gel is applied for 20 minutes. The whole process is complete in only one visit lasting just over one hour.

Millions of people have used this method, all over America, Canada and Europe – now BrytSmile is proud to offer this service here in Scotland in Dundee, Fife, Perth, Aberdeen, Peterhead, Edinburgh & Glasgow & also the Algarve!

Using low temperatures, cold light avoids irritation to the nerves of the teeth. (Which other lamps don't!) This system is the safest and most effective way of whitening teeth available today.

Step 1
One of our therapists will have a chat with you regarding your expectations; examine your teeth to ensure you are eligible to have your teeth whitened with us. The therapist will also agree with you and record your existing teeth colour on our shade guide. Last of all you will have to sign a consent form before the process

Step 2
Gently, we place a plastic cheek retractor in your mouth. This gives you perfect access to your teeth and holds your mouth in position for the treatment. We will prepare & dry your teeth before we paint the unique whitening gel on to your top and bottom teeth. Then we will place our new whitening lamp in front of your teeth for 20 minutes. You can sit back & relax in the comfort of your own home and even catch up on TV! After the first application we will check the progress and repeat a further 2 times to get the results you want.

Step 3
Once you have had the treatment you will then rinse your mouth with water and hydrate your lips and gums using our vitamin E swab which contains liquid vitamin E and Aloe Vera. We will then explain after-care information & provide you with an after care 'White Diet Sheet'.

+ The Science Behind Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening chart Teeth Whitening is a simple, fast and non-invasive cosmetic treatment producing immediate visible results. With the use of BrytSmile's modern technology, the combination of our specially formulated whitening gel and state-of-the-art Whitening accelerator, years of tooth staining can be wiped away in just 1 hour

Laser teeth whitening is the fastest and safest way to whiten teeth and causes no damage to either the structure of the tooth or the gums.

Oxygen is the only thing that can actually whiten your teeth, 99% of tooth whitening products don’t actually whiten your teeth, they merely clean them.... it is a common mistake to confuse whitening your teeth with a process that only cleans your teeth.

To understand teeth whitening you must firstly have a basic understanding of the structure of the tooth and how staining occurs.

The outermost part of your teeth consists of a translucent layer of highly ordered hydroxyapatite, a mineral made up of calcium phosphate. This protective layer known as enamel is the hardest tissue in the human body. Underneath it lies dentine, an off-white matrix of amorphous calcium phosphate and collagen that surrounds the blood vessels and nerves that nourish your teeth. Light passing through the enamel (dentine tubes) is reflected by the dentine, giving your teeth their pearly white colour.

There are two types of staining, extrinsic and intrinsic staining.

Extrinsic staining is basically where there is dirt on the outside of the enamel which can be treated with the use of a good whitening tooth paste but will only clean the teeth & does not remove any stains.

Intrinsic staining is where over time coloured molecules and dark pigments found in various foods, drinks and cigarettes etc, penetrate through the enamel staining deep into the dentine tubes and staining the actual dentine of the tooth. It is this process that gives your tooth a yellow/brown hue.

The science behind laser teeth whitening is not as complex as you may think, in fact the procedure is very simple; the whitening gel with a neutral pH level placed onto the surface of your teeth, the gel has a special formulated mineral accelerant that when exposed to the specially tuned frequency of light provided by the cold laser light, creates a chemical reaction within the gel turning the whitening gel into oxygen at a high rate. As the gel turns into oxygen it opens the pours in the enamel of your teeth allowing the whitening gel to penetrate through the dentine tubes of the enamel and into the dentine of your tooth, thus actually changing the colour of your teeth into a bright natural white.

+ What Is Professional Teeth Whitening?

Dentist and patient Professional Teeth whitening falls under the category of cosmetic dentistry & does NOT have to be carried out by dentists. The Teeth Whitening process eliminates discolouration and stains on & under the teeth, and will also brighten the natural pigmentation of the teeth without harming the original tooth structure. The degree of improvement will depend upon how severely the teeth are stained or discoloured as well as the nature of the stains.

In the majority of cases teeth can be whitened by up to 10 shades lighter! Even more persistent stains caused by natural pigmentation or antibiotics can be whitened, but you may need more than one treatment and the results may not be as dramatic, though you should still see a noticeable difference.

Teeth whitening will remove stains from your teeth, improving the colour and overall appearance of your smile. We ensure we only use the safest products and most advanced technology available in the world. Our LED laser light is the best on the market & our Whitening Gels have been fully approved by the FDA & are the most beneficial on the market!

+ Teeth Whitening Benefits

Procedure A BrytSmile can help you look years younger. Over time, our teeth begin to discolour and stain. This is caused by the natural ageing process and your day-to-day lifestyle, particularly smoking and regularly drinking coffee, tea, fizzy drinks or wine etc. Laser Teeth whitening at BrytSmile in and around Dundee, Fife & Perth will help to restore the natural radiance of your smile giving you the confidence to smile every day.

Teeth become discoloured over time by age, tobacco use, certain medications, and staining foods and beverages such as coffee, tea, red wine, curry etc. Fortunately, in most cases BrytSmile can whiten teeth that have become badly stained. Using the latest technology, we can now perform a complete whitening procedure in a single visit. No needles or drills are used during the procedure & are all carried out by fully trained specialised Dental Technicians.

Professional Teeth Bleaching, or Teeth Whitening, is the most effective way to whiten your teeth whilst leaving the teeth untouched. The effects are dramatic and can last upto 18 months!

+ How Laser Teeth Whitening Works

Dentist and patient BrytSmile's World's leading Teeth Whitening System uses the most advanced and innovative technology and materials to Whiten your teeth safely, quickly, and with maximum results.

Our special, gentle whitening gel contains active ingredients that remove not only surface stains, but also the stains found deep inside the teeth. So your teeth get whiter faster, and stay whiter longer. Our Futura 2400 Whitening lamp speeds up the entire process while minimising the risk of tooth sensitivity, meaning that you can whiten your teeth in the same time it would take to get a haircut!

The professional teeth whitening process begins with the application of a whitening gel which is applied directly to the teeth. This gel contains a professional strength formula that ensures the laser accomplishes the maximum possible amount of teeth whitening.

Next, a special light is used to activate the gel. The process usually takes an hour, and whitens teeth by as much as 10 shades. In extreme cases, the laser teeth whitening procedure may need to be repeated to address deep stains caused by medications such as tetracycline.

+ Teeth Whitening Results

The impact of the tooth whitening procedure should be noticeable immediately & will continue to whiten over the next 72 hours. The results will vary from person to person, depending on the level of discolouration of your teeth to begin with and can also be permanent as long as a regular hygiene routine is followed.
